Who actually does the work?
The people you meet in the scoping call are the people who build it. You get names, résumés and a 30-minute interview with the functional lead and the developer before the contract is signed. No substitution without your written agreement.
What if that person leaves?
Every engagement carries a second engineer who attends the same sessions and can take over inside a week. Configuration decisions live in a written build document, not in one person's head, and every workshop is recorded and shared with you.
Will I be talking to a middleman?
No. You talk to the consultant configuring your system. Your contact in Edison exists for commercial matters and escalation, not to relay questions to Bhopal overnight.
Who owns the code and the data?
You do, on payment, and the assignment is written into the contract. Custom modules sit in your GitHub organisation from day one. Odoo Community is open source, and we add no proprietary layer you would have to license from us later.
What if we want out?
Thirty days' notice, no penalty. You leave with a database dump, the repository, the build document, credentials and a handover call with whoever comes next. We have been on the receiving end of a bad handover and won't do it to anyone.
How is our data protected?
MSA and NDA under the law of your state. Least-privilege access, MFA on every account, background-checked staff, no production customer data copied into development, and a signed DPA where you handle personal or health information.
How do I avoid a runaway bill?
Discovery is fixed price. Each build phase is fixed price against a signed scope. Change requests are estimated and approved in writing before anyone starts, so no invoice ever arrives that you haven't already seen and agreed.
What happens when go-live goes wrong?
It is the one week we staff double. Extended coverage across your full business day for the first two weeks, a daily triage call, and a written issue log with owners and dates that stays open until you close it.
